Treehouse Sauna

This project started in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic. We recognised that the isolated environment was having a major effect on university life and initiated the project to provide a temporary space where students could create and reconnect.

The scheme pairs two treehouses: the upper for relaxation and the lower for the sauna. More than 50 students, local technicians, suppliers and neighbours contributed to bringing the project to life.

After completion, it opened to the public, and magazine and television coverage brought national media attention. The treehouse was later handed over to the local community for its next chapter.
